Loving this thread, so here are a few more, from the weird, wonderful and rare to the common and cheap.

I would love to get my 62 Gibson melody Maker back that was stolen from me in 1970 at Camp Lejeune NC. I have thought of this guitar for 50 years. I also have gassed for a Mosrite Ventures model from 1967 that I saw in Naha Okinawa and was to poor to buy. Too much living in the past, huh?

I can't say about the guitars, but my son did his MOS training at Camp Lejeune, and I got to visit him a couple of times. I also got to visit my daughter and her family in Okinawa (grandson's birth) at Camp Kinser, and got to visit the surrounding areas, including Naha. From my limited experience, I would suspect those memories will never go away. Enjoy them!

When I first saw this model I thought, "this is the perfect Tiki guitar," then "naah, that's silly, no such thing."

    Then I found this. :D

I have that same color Spectra Sonic Supreme. Truly an awesome instrument.

As for me, I’m not gassing for much but I’d love to at least try a Bilt Zaftig at some point.

Mine would be John Denver's Guild. I believe it's a Guild F512 or 612. And his Taylor k-15. He'll always be my favorite artist. Thanks Dad :):D denver_2527507b.jpg R-8184977-1456724468-5172.jpeg.jpg

It may be a girlie guitar, but I'm intrigued by Annie Clark's St Vincent Musicman.

It's way out of my budget, so I suspect I will pick up the more affordable Sterling version this year. (Thank goodness pj harvey has no signature guitar on the market.)

    Cheers,

Ha! Yeah, PJ's played a little of everything thru the years ... Firebirds, Teles, ES-whatevers, even a Gretsch from time to time.

Lately, she's been shredding one of these:

Signature autoharp? I wonder if there's a market for that!

Yeah, saw her twice on the England Shakes tour and it was a relief when she whipped out the Airline guitar for the encore's. I probably should not admit to this but it was her use of a Firebird (and not Johnny Winter's) that inspired me to buy one. (Methinks I may need to claim that my Gretsch-talk account has been hacked ;););))

    Cheers

I played one of the Sterlings at Guitar Center. Very comfortable good sounding guitar. Neck too skinny for me though.

I remembered another one I've GAS'd for from a manufacturer I've never owned an electric from, a 60s Hofner Verythin (pictured is a '63):

I've had the opportunity to check out one of our customer's example of these and was pretty much in love. I've always kept an eye out for one locally since but so far no luck. Probably a good thing because I'd probably just wind up buying it ;)

A Dan Dunham guitar would be pretty sweet. Screenshot_2019-01-11-19-55-08-1.png
