Given that retirement is around the corner, I have very little GAS. I would, however, love to trade up from my Takamine EG523SC-12 - which is a nice 12-string, but the neck is too thick for me, and makes my hand cramp after about 20 minutes of playing. - to a Taylor 356ce 12-string. I have played it over and over in my local music store, but just couldn't justify the expense given that I play it mainly for me. Oh, and it plays like a dream. It's effortless for me, just like my Taylor 710ce.

Taylor 356ce - Sitka spruce top, Sapele back and sides.

There are several options...TK‘s are hopelessly pricey. But a chambered maple body, a Birdseye maple top, a good neck, vintage pkups and a Bigsby...sounds like a cool next project ;)

Probably not. BUT...for as long as it may take for me to get the money for it, maybe they'll do a special edition one by then! ;):D

I keep waffling between it and a Penguin...

    I'll 2nd that...

Never had a Starplayer (although I have taken a few for spins), but between the Caribou I had and my CDG Penguin, I'd take my Penguin 11 out of 10 times.

Don't get me wrong, the Duesy was an excellent guitar but just never seemed to inspire me the way that Penguin has.

I’m heavily biased, so naturally would vote for the Penguin. White Penguin filters and trem or single and caddy tail piece. Mmm how about both!

Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar in black. I hope I don't ever find a used one for a reasonable price, because I really don't need it. Still want one though.

It's not likely to happen though, cause i really dig those other brands above that i've already owned, and will own more ,i have never owned a Jazzmaster or Jaguar.
I have never owned a Gibson SG or ES-335/345/355,I would like to own an ES295 before i die,L-5CES-N and Super 400 CES-N are dreams .

    Then there's the Rickenbacker 1997,1998,1993 Plus,381V69,360/12C63,4003...

And i'll not go into the Gretsches i still want or we could be here all night.

Rickenbacker 620, and a Guild M75..both in gold. I like some of the Reverend, and Duesenberg stuff, but a lot of their pick up choices/combinations leave me with chilly feet

Own a MiK orange Galaxie IV. You absolutly cannot go wrong with one of them. Pretty hard to find a better guitar in the $600-700 range than the Galaxie.

    Ooohhh. Good call!
I’ve never played a TV Jones guitar but would love to have one, too!

    Here’s my biggest non-Gretsch lust item…

I have played a different model Doozy and it played great. I would, however, put some TV Jones Classics in it. The stock pickups sounded decent, but I gots ta have That Great Gretsch Sound!
