They did two shows in St.Louis on that album I got to go to both.

It's been a "Long Time" but I remember leaving the shows with, A "Piece of Mind" like I had "More Than A Feeling" that I had seen a great show and I had seen a great "Rock n Roll Band". After the show I told a friend there's "Something About You" and I asked if I she would "Let Me Take You Home Tonight" ... She said No.. So I thought I would "Hitch a Ride" home were I did some "Smokin" got sleepy and went to bed. Good Times .

God, some of the gimmicks they used with LP's!

There's the Small Faces album that came in a round sleeve... Literally kept rolling off the shelves at record stores... To the point that the record company finally changed the sleeve to the standard square design...

Then there was the Cheech and Chong album which was a giant cigarette rolling paper packet (giant rolling paper included...)

And who could forget the original release of Alice Cooper's School's Out? Complete with paper panties...

But one of my personal favorites was the little cardboard mothership model included with ELO's "Out of the Blue" album... Love that record!

No doubt about it, at least 3 generations of teens have completely missed out on the joys of "new" releases at a real old fashioned "record store".

There's another aspect to LPs that most folks don't know about. I had manual turntables (radio station industrial units) that were totally hand operated. No changer, no auto shut off. At the end of their first release, "Yer Album" by the James Gang, they put in a little Easter Egg for those of us with manual turntables. At the end of Side 1, a voice keeps repeating, "Turn me over. Turn me over." At the end of Side 2, it says, "Play me again. Play me again." It even mentions the surprise in the album notes saying "Don't tell your friends with auto turntables about this."

This album plus Green-Gel in 1985 was incredible, watching Robert Smith and Steve Severin floating over the album like a hologram.

Inside cover sleeve, same, with Landray (awesome vocalist)
