Damn! That was hot. Thanx for sharing.
Yeah, it was crazy how my amp transformed into my buddy’s amp just by plugging in his speaker.
I do like the sound of the stock celestian in my CDRRI, but I had no idea what I was missing.
Now that I know, the tone quest continues.....

Diggin’ that vid for sure! Paul’s tone is just awesome with that rig. Name of the tune?

Question Tavo, with the Veteran 30 being 60 watts how careful does one have to be with a 50 watt amp like your Blondeshell?

    Thanks
    Anthony

the Battle of EL SWARTHO. :) 60 watts program. I dont know how in the hell you'd blow a celestion vintage 30. LOL these are super doped speakers w a strong coil meant to kick ass w hard rock(strangely amazing for clean music w a gretsch). Also a fender bassman is really about 45watts and nobody plays them above half volume let alone full volume.

The video is not working for me. I love Paul’s playing and would really like to hear this.

First time I've ever gotten a Tommy Bolin vibe on this forum.

Tavo, I do not do Facebook but thanks for this link. I couldn't get it to work on my ipad but was able to watch on my pc.
Thanks very much! That is great!

Tommy has always been one of my favorite players. This does have the Savannah Woman vibe for sure!!!

    Delivered and installed!
Only had the chance to strum a few chords.
The Missus just got home from her classes, and I doubt she’s in the mood to hear me play those 5 riffs I know at top volume.
I will say that even though it’s not broken in, it sounds better than the stock celestian.

The stock Celestian V that comes in the CDRRI.
Not a bad speaker at all, but not as sparkly as the Warehouse.

Ha! Wish I could do that sometimes. More money in those gigs than in Rock n’ Roll these days.

It’s always been that way from my experience. Any chance you could post up some clips? Even if it’s just goofing around I’d love to hear it!

My ‘70 SFDR came with a JBL D120 when I got it used in’72. The JBL developed some voice coil rubbing and i replaced it with a WGS 12/C. It had way too much cone cry and I hated it. I now have an Eminence Swamp Thang and it sounds good. Heavy, but clean and tight bottom end. Been thinking about swapping for a Greenback as I used to have a 1960AX cab with original Greenbacks that I used with a JMP 2204 but would also plug my deluxe into and it sounded glorious!

I’ve been meaning to make a little video showing off my pirate-caster. I guess if I ever finally do, it’ll be a demo of the amp as well.
Of course it’ll be with an iPhone and sound like crap!:p
