sale this week, $30 off the UBaNGI Stomp drive. a lower gain version of a vintage rat. USE CODE: 30 at checkout.

little bit of a comparison of the heavy side of the Ubangi's "vintage white logo rat" voice next to the 80's Ibanez Super Metal SM-9.

The innards have a switch for symmetric and asymmetric switching as well as a high mids boost cut trimmer. 60's NOS metal Can 308 chip too boot w old school tantalum electrolytic caps and wima film caps!

Best Nocturne pedal ever IMO. I'm tempted to get a 3rd one at this price.....

We used to cut some of the resisters and caps out of old Rats to make them work better. Tavo does all that work for us, and it's 1,000 times more adjustable. #ubangistompers

Well, not so much a cut job on resistors, more of a values rearrange. replacement and full component upgrade :)
Still 100% true to the original circuit design but a shift away from the hair band grate.

    Here's an older big box
Rat, lots of the usual suspect electrolytics, ceramic caps and carbon resistors, cheezy jacks, etc. Its really Rat'ee! :)
It has potential but the sound tears on your soul after a while...

Whatever 'my sound' is, it is always centered around the Atomic pre and the Ubangi. I have some wacky stuff, but that's always the central thing going on. Sometimes I just think hmmm... then the broke part comes in!
Excited to have a JR Barnyard coming in though! (thank you very much).
Sometimes your preamp needs another preamp!

still have a few left in this batch
This is a different preamp, the Jr Barnyard Hot Pre :) I got to see RJ Ronquillo play through it, into a quilter amp (solid state) and I was amazed at how good it made that rather sterile amp sound, in fact it made it sound wonderful. So the amp is more of a foundation for a good house, it cannot be denied anymore. :) It was running into a Nocturne 1x12 cab but thats mostly the Veteran 30 speaker. I saw many guys recording it, so hopefully it will pop up w Rodney Gene playing through the Barnyard and the Nocturne Bettie Blondeshell w the Grez Guitar.

This has got be my favorite ever version of "High Heel Sneakers", Rodney! If this doesn't get your foot tappin' then there's no rhythm in your soul! Made my very ordinary Monday morning something special!
