    Amazing guitar!!!
Made in the same Terada factory as our beloved Gretsch Prolines...

I have owned some lovely Prolines...but I dare say, this TVJones model feels, plays and sounds better.....more like something out of the Gretsch Custom shop; it really is that good!

    It's a chambered semi-hollow flat top.

Gretsch spectrasonic 2.jpg gretsch spectrasonic.jpg TK Smith Spectrasonic.jpg Gretsch only ever "licensed" use from Tom of Tvjones.com for selling a gretsch labeled Spectrasonic. It picked up some fame after Brian Setzer took his then guitar tech Rich's jones built Spectra C melody baritone on the Live in Japan tour. Gretsch decided to go with three models; the lead, the c melody baritone, and a bass model.

Tom has since gone into production w some slight changes to wood used. He has thin ply maple tops and ebony fretboards, where as the gretsch used spruce ply tops and padauk fretboards. I have kind of taken my cues from this guitar for my Rooster builds as this style of build is light, strong and nicely resonant while rejecting feedback at most all levels.
Someday I'm having me a tvjones bari

the higher def "live in japan"

here's a bad recording of it "live" that lets you hear how twangy and bright it can sound w an almost ricky meets tele on steroids
