    hi all,

    just ran into an old friend of mine that i played in a band with back in the
    late 80's-early 90's.
    i played bass in this "old rock and roll" band and he asked me if i wanted to
    buy the old traynor mono block II {300 watts,solid state} bass head i use
    to use,that he owned.
    i know it's not a tube or a blonde etc,but how could i pass it up for 100.00
    anyway ,i brought it home,plugged it in and cannot believe how good it sounds.
    for a solid state amp it shakes the place.
    i forgot how good this amp sounds.
    built like a tank and about as heavy as one too!
    it's going to the next jam for sure.

    Congrats on your new addition!

    Catman you have to love good old Canadian Traynor. Someday I will pick up a YBA-1 Bassmaster Head, which is their take on a Bassman.

    hey fox

    the yba-1 is a great choice.
    i think it is better than a bassman personally,but thats my opinion.
    the traynor's are good amps and this mono block i picked up has
    been dubbed the "speaker blower" by some.
    years ago i popped an 18 inch EV with this very amp{250.00 replacment}
    now i chain some 15's together to avoid any problems.
    so far so good!
    if i hear of a yba-1 for sale,i'll p.m. you.{i think i might know of some}

    That's a great amp. Heavy as all get out but a great amp especially for the price. Congrats!
