I switched out the tort guard to the original CV50's black pickguard on my Squier CV50's Tele/GFS Daphne Blue partscaster tonight, and I'm trying to decide which to go with..

    Any thoughts?

Personally, I'd go with black. Looks much sleeker. Beautiful guitar either way, though.

    Sweet looking.

I'm really liking that black better.

Nope not black, I think it looks plain. I think the tort looks a lot better and even ties the binding into it as well. I don't generally like tort but on that tele, the gold and tort and binding are very classy. With the black, it looks ordinary and plain.

Since white is not an option....I will be the odd man out and say the Tort...I think it is more interesting and adds some "pop"

Either way, that Daphne blue is beautiful;)

I like the tortoise one better, black doesn't work with any of the Fender custom colors for me. Personally, I'd try and find a vintage white/cream pickguard that matches the binding. Aged white pearl would also look great!
