I thought it might be fun and interesting to hear what pedals people have either on a bucket list for this year or are gassing (or is it PASsing) for right now.

    Here’s my top five.

    1. Nocturne El Pescadoro (Hot pre with Reverb)
    2. Catalinbread Bell Epoch Deluxe (tape delay)
    3. JHS Kodiak (tremolo)
    4. Catalinbread Adineko (oil can delay)
    5. Tym Guitars Seaweed (Triangle Muff crossed with a Bender fuzz, hard to find)

Edited to add what they are and correct brand of pedal. Although most are probably known except for the Tym Seaweed.

    Catalinbread Talisman (Plate Reverb)
    Strymon Flint (Reverb & Trem)
    * EarthQuaker Devices Dispatch Master (Hall Reverb & Digital Delay)
    * Stanley Blue Nebula (numerous Delays, Plate Reverb, Tremolo)
    Truetone Buffer

I own the starred items, already, the others would give me about every reverb option I’d ever use. I have the feeling that the Talisman would get a lot of use, and the Flint would be my go to pedal for Surf. The Dispatch Master is Chet’s SlapBack sound and the Blue Nebula does everything well, but I prefer to use it only with presets. The next show the Lug Nuts do, I intend to use the Blue Nebula exclusively, but I’ll program the presets ahead of time. Plate Reverb is awesome!

That’s a whole lot o’ Reverb! ;) If only one pedal covered them all well.

I dig the name Lug Nuts.

I'm pretty much settled on fx, as in not using them much anyway. Moderately interested in:
    Belle Epoch Dlx
    Origin FX Revival drive
Neunaber Expanse mk2 series, which doesn't exist.
    Benton Pre amp
    SD Powerstage

Good to see some Waza Boss. Boss has been the standard and are built like a tank.

That Benton Pre seems to be getting a lot of praise lately. I looked up that Origin FX... holy cannoli that looks like a lot of knobs at first glance.

My best pedals are waza craft. A bd2.1 and a dm2w. Just perfect.

Wieldy and way too many knobs to keep my attention. Basicly it's a 2 of the same in 1, but with different rectifier sections. At Namm they had a proto compact version with a simplified control set. Should be interesting.

Toss up between two the Strymon Big Sky or Volante. Not really an apples to oranges comparison which makes it harder, and I'm not sure it isn't more a 2020 thing. I have no burning urge to buy either yet but it will probably be one or the other. 2019 for me is the Power Station 2, a reactive load, 6l6 50 watt amp, an FX loop, and impedance matching all in one box! Even this is a toss-up with a set of ISO Lock jigs for a D4r Pro dovetail jig I have. Leaning towards the Iso lock simply because I think I can make a few bucks off of it to fuel more gear.

The pedal I want doesn't exist - a chorus but one that doesn't sound like most chorus's. I want an ambient thickening but not much cycling. Keeley has a 30ms double tracker thing that seems to get close. So that's on my list.

    - Chorus-like ambient "thickening" pedal
    - Pigtronix Rotary
    - 2nd Timmy in surf green
    - Binson Echorec type pedal (boonar or echo sex 2)
    - Origin Cali 76 Tx compressor (okay, that's insane. i'll settle for a 76 compact deluxe and call it a day...)

So the original BD2 pedals always seemed fizzy to me. Does the Waza tame some of that?

I detest traditional wobbly chorus. Maybe look at the Neunaber Chroma. It’s basicly using pitchshifting.

Yes - I've spent a lot of time listening to the demos and just can't seem to decide. I almost want to hear it in person.

I'm OK for boost/drive stuff, and tremolo is really the only modulation effect I use and I'm also good there. But reverb and delays, hmm. I really need two of each to avoid grovelling around on the floor -- a basic old school drip reverb and something to complement that. The Keeley Abbey Road Chamber verb looks like it might do the trick. For delay I have a Carbon Copy, but I'd like my old Memory Man back -- love that bucket brigade 'clank'.

Thanks, I meant to write Catalinbread. Not sure what went on in my brain for a second. I like what I’ve seen with the ambience thing going on.

I have the EHX B9 organ pedal. It’s awesome. It can’t be plugged in to a daisy chain, or else there’s a b note drone whether it’s engaged or not. Same when it’s plugged into a pedal power supply. But when it’s powered with the plug it came with, it works great.
    A really fun pedal.
