    Hey all.

I've been a fender dude for awhile and found myself with a tele and 4 strats laying around the house. Traded off a nice MIM Strat for a Streamliner 2622 because I wanted something different and knew it should be a Gretsch semi-hollow.

Changed the knobs and switchtip, and currently looking for some pickups, but other than those things, I really like the guitar.

Thanks to this community for pointing me in the right direction already, and giving me insight on the things I should be considering as I mod this 2622.

    Welcome to Gretsch-Talk sswoverl!

I came to Gretsch down the same Fender road - love my Strats. Congrats on joining the Gretsch family!

Welcome to G-T. Pics are necessary and what pickups are you thinking of putting in the Streamliner?

Be careful. That toe in the water could lead to a full on plunge.

With your toe in water you shouldn't be playing an electric guitar unless you want a "shocking" experience.

I was similar two starts and wanted something green and was eyeing a surf green jazz master but then I saw the Broadway Jade Penguin and didn't bother with putting a toe in I dove in head first. I don't know about you but I was never a PAF type f guy those HBs sound good to me for days then I am sick of them, but good single coils never bore me and the nice thing is these HS filtertrons have kept me happy as well. So if you are looking for a pup change I would say some T Armonds if you want singles or dynas or Hilos or the HS filtertrons like in my BJP. Good luck!
