Boston vs St. Louis. Doubt many people had these two going all the way, but both look good. Hope for a good series. The Las Vegas betting line has Boston as the favorite.

What are your thoughts, predictions, desires?

I'd probably go with Boston as well but they're going to definitely have their meddle tested by St. Louis having 2 very good lines and a goalie thats on fire!

As a lifetime Sharks fan since their inception into the league with the KLM line from the Moscow Dynamo, I was hoping this would be the year...finally, but to no avail......again.

Jordan Binnington is riding a wave in goal and he's really going to get tested this go 'round. I don't think there'll be any shutouts but stranger things have happened. Should be a great Cup run for both teams!

Talk about the difference a coaching change can make. St Louis was near the bottom under Mike Yeo and now Craig Berube has them in the Finals. I assume they'll take away the interim tag. Otherwise he could walk like Barry Trotz did.

I got to see Berube a couple of times as a player when he was with the Capitals. He was one of those hidden beasts on the ice. You'd hear some for a few games, then nothing and then out of no where BOOM his presence was known. He was always a workhorse and a grinder!

He was always a team guy too, not a selfish player.

No matter how it pans out I could see Berube staying there as long as the team will have him and he's already made a huge difference as you noted. St. Louis would be stupid to not keep him.

NHL coaches are not like other sports coaches, completley different breed.

Yeo having worked with Flyers, was never really impressive to me in the least. Even though I live exactly between Baltimore and Philadelphia I've never been a supporter of the Flyers in general. They seem to be the most unfunctional disorganized team in the NHL. I call it where players and coaches go to end their career lol.

My thoughts are I'm a Panthers fan, therefore I never worry about these silly "cup" things!

    I sympathize. I'm a half-hearted Minnesota Timberwolves fan.

I’m a Pens fan, so by default I dislike Boston.
I’m usually indifferent about St. Louis, but now? GO BLUES!

However, I’ll be very surprised the the Bruins don’t take it.

Oh, and the Stanley Cup would go well with the World Series and Super Bowl here in Boston. ;)

    St Louis!
And I hope someone finally beats the sh*t out of Marchand.
    But that's just me.

As a Stars fan, I say GO BLUES! They beat us, and takes a little of the sting out to lose to the best.

The KLM line was Krutov, Larionov, and Makarov. Krutov and Larionov signed with Vancouver. Makarov with Calgary in the 80's.
Don't ever recall them playing for the Sharks as a unit.

Thanks Dostegrar you beat me to it ;). Both Larionov and Makarov were a huge plus to a new franchise before the NHL adopted the "star" picking they've since allowed.

The 2 teams I dislike the most in the NHL.
St Louis. As a North Star fan from the start, St Louis played the most boring hockey possible. The worst part is they where good at it. Not good enough to worry an Original Six team, but they where the best of the expansion teams. The Plager brothers, Al Arbour, Hall and Plante. They had some offense with Unger and Berenson but they played such a slow, ugly game.
Boston. Loved them in their glory days. Once stood next to and said "Hello" to Bobby Orr. Completely starstruck. Im a Tampa Bay fan now. Licking other players needed to be dealt with by the NHL and it wasn't. Chara has been a step to slow for 2 years now. For some reason he is allowed to hold. (which is more like a bear hug)

I'll pull for St Louis because I'm old and forgetful.
    Go Bolts
