Good job, I really like Hank's stuff and hadn't heard that one in a while.

I like your version of Walk Don't run too! What guitar did you use for that recording?

Nice playing, Andrew! I really enjoyed that. The tape echo simulation needs a new tape replacement very soon! :p

Thanks mate! - bit overdone do you think? I'll try and fix it up for next time. It's a fairly subtle effect to my tin ear when I switch it on and off. Maybe it can do without it entirely.

I've decided to reupload without the tape delay. I also took the opportunity to increase the bass guitar level and acoustic slightly.

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully it'll sound a bit better.

@audept - Not sure I think this is a lot better? I turned the tape delay effects off and upped the bass and acoustic marginally

Sounds good to me but tonight I can only listen via the tiny (tinny?) speakers in my laptop. I'll check it out over the weekend on some decent quality speakers.

Thanks mate. I also think maybe the lead guitar sounds a little muffled in a way. It could be logic's amp models - I have a flat EQ apart from a high pass and low pass filter an the extreme upper and lower frequencies - maybe 50hz and 18000 hz. I don't know...

The second version sounds a bit better to me. The Strat sounds better through my earpnones.

I think I need to learn to EQ things a bit better. It has a bit of a wet blanket sound to me. Maybe I'm being very picky. Either that or it is the amp model in Logic.

Maybe it's both or neither :)

If I knew how to make it better I would :)

It's not that bad I suppose but it's not a perfect emulation of "the sound"...

The Strat in the second version sounds more commanding to me like it should. Just sounds better to me. Still think you did a terrific job, don't think you could do much better than that.

Well I was unhappy that the guitar didn't sound very much like the original so I spent the weekend trying different things. In the end I used a Guitar Rig Amp model and ditched Logic's.

I also remixed and remastered the track.

I think it sounds so different now it's not funny - even though it's absolutely the same guitar tracks. It's much closer to the original Shadow's tone imo...
