I would love to receive that mini Maton that Tony Simms was raving about.

and maybe a jack plate installed on my 2655.

    The holidays are here.

All Hallow's Eve, All Saints Day, All Souls Day, Guy Fawkes Day, my birthday, Veteran's Day, then Turkey Day.
I deal with Christmas/Yule after that.

I'm probably going to get books and DVDs and CDs. I don't really have too many needs or wants anymore.

    Honestly.., Peace & Quiet.
A few days from work, with great coffee, just myself, and maybe a nice long drive to nowhere and end up somewhere with good food and Great Beer!

I’d settle for a nice acoustic. With case of course.

Wishing that people would call it Christmas again. No offence to OP.

Not much really -- a few sets of strings, a jar of really good marmalade, some chutney, a pair of slippers (furry inside variety). Rock'n'roll eh?

If I want something I never wait for Christmas or Birthday, I just get it. That said, I don't have any outstanding "wants", at least none that I can actually afford! As @manuuk says, it would be nice to take the retailing out of Christmas.

Actually I’d be worried for Xmas to arrive too soon. I have a huge job deadline on Dec.30th that I must respect and will keep me at work 12 hours a day since Nov.4 on.
This 9 days I spent in the US have been my holiday in advance. Gotta go to work now! :(

While some people said TGIF, we used to say, "Oh no. Friday is the day that you promised that certain things would be completed."

The Uni I worked at has a huge Christmas Show put on by the Glee Club. They still call it a Christmas Show. The student union has a 25'+ tree every year, but they called it the holiday tree---until one year, when a 4 year old kid piped up, "But it's a Christmas Tree, Dad." It's now called a Christmas Tree again. They take it down around December 20th. Go figure. No one's on campus after that, and a dead pine tree is a serious fire hazard. Unis, hotbeds of political correctness, try to be "all inclusive" for everyone, so as not to offend anyone. I get that not everyone is a Christian, but here in the US, it is a majority. Still, many (if not most) people around the world celebrate the season in some way.

As a stagehand, Friday means a weekend full of gigs and overtime.

Aaargh! I already bought what I wished for, but the stupid fire has been holding up delivery as our local FedEx distribution center is in the mandatory evacuation zone. I hate you fire! I know, others have it muchworse, but still . . . .

Safety first! I have a question---due to insurance companies and gov't. regs, we're not allowed to rebuild in flood zones here. Can folks in Cali rebuild in fire zones?

I have absolutely everything I need and more than I should ever want, so I really wish for the guts to actually sell the few guitars and things I have hanging around that rarely or never get played. Then I can think about consolidating that money into a new guitar, or something else that I will use rather than look at and say "I have that." (possibly a Lambretta scooter!)

I do not know whether we will celebrate christmas this year at all.
Due to illness my wife will not be able to celebrate as usual. We thought of having a 3-day holiday and make a little journey over high days but even that seems to be unlikely.
So I am a bit helpless when it comes to this question.
