Me waves from other side of planet.
It's a bit cold today, so Sheba is loving her blanket.
2 couch potatoes: Sheba and her friend Holly relaxing at home
It's a tough life for a dog. Nothing to do on the weekend except take a nap!
We now have 3 dogs for Xmas at Hotel Caninefornia! left-to-right: Betty, Taffy and of course Sheba.
Haley says hi to Betty , Taffy and of coarse Sheba
Sheba and her houseguest Taffy having a great Xmas/New Year
That mud-bath pic is the best!
Taffy finished her drink, but Sheba needs help to get up to the table to empty her cup!
Sheba doesn't drink coffee, she's too hyper already!
What??? A dog with Jack Russell in her that's hyper??? I can't believe it!
Haha! We only choose Jack Russell crosses because they have the endearing JR qualities but are a bit less manic. A friend has 2 purebreed JRs and they are a constant handful and always barking and making a lot of noise. Sheba is a Maltese Poodle cross rescued from a flood which took the rest of her family. Our other dog Baci (my avatar) was a Silky Terrier cross. She was a bit more laid back and relied mainly on telepathy for communication. Our inter-species relationship was beyond any previous experience, and even 4 years after her passing I miss her every day. She often visits me in dreams, sometimes to warn me about particular people's motivations and she is always right. I hope there is a heaven, but even more I hope she's waiting there for me. (OK, you can send me off to the funny farm now!)
That's a cutie
I'm sure the presence of Maltese would counteract some of the more annoying JR characteristics. I have two purebred JR's and heartily agree that they can be handfuls; the description "alert, lively, active," so often applied to the breed, certainly fits them. They're pretty good kids, though: When I practice in the evening, they just snooze. They're also very affectionate. Your Baci sounds like my Nelson, the JR I had before Prudence and Aubrey with me now. I lost Nelson in '05, and had with him the kind of relationship you enjoyed with Baci. Believe me, I share your hopes about heaven.
Sheba woke up very early this morning and wanted to play. Not much interest from the sleeping humans yet.
Surrounded by toys, a dog with an earnest expression indicates that it's playtime, unmindful of the hour: Yes, I know that scene well.
This is my beloved Bella:
Sheba & Taffy negotiating who gets which side of the bed:
Sorry. Now, here comes the picture.
Ladies and gentlemen: This is our most beloved family member "Bella".
