The only nominee that I personally find compelling is The Cure. For the other four I'd vote for Kraftwerk (they're just too influential to ignore) for sure, and then I guess Janet Jackson, Devo, and Radiohead. The fan vote so far seems really weird to me--Stevie Nicks is in the lead as of now despite already being in the Hall as a member of Fleetwood Mac (it seems bizarre to me that she's even nominated for this reason), and second place is Def Leppard who I'll grant were a bigger deal than they get credit for, but still.

As usual there are obviously a ton of snubs and you could probably replace almost this entire list with people who make a lot more sense (I like John Prine but come on you've got Warren Zevon and Brian Eno and Whitney Houston out there). Also I see that they didn't even manage to nominate Chic this year so maybe it's actually getting a little worse.

My apologies to the good drmilktruck but I have to grump about the whole HOF criteria or lack thereof.

As a Green Bay Packers fan, gotta go with Todd Rundgren.

    I don’t really follow the R&R HOF.

    But Chris Cornell... RIP

HOF is a non-transparent institution witch made some very questionable decisions. I completely lost my interest in it.

I find it amusing that many people dismiss the RRHOF as irrelevant . . . then vent their spleen about it.

Anywho, ya'll should watch Alex Lifeson's acceptance speech.
