Along the way stuff got changed, the biggest being the removal of the Bigsby, as much and all as I love a Bigsby I felt that on this particular model it deadened the guitar.

Otherwise, it was refretted with stainless steel and plekked about 12 years ago, not saying that plekking is the be all and end all of guitar set ups but if done properly it is great.

Pickups are by Monty’s guitars, essentially Gibson style PAFs in Gretsch form, wiring is G&L treble and bass,

Full nitro refinish - burgundy mist over shell pink, pickup surrounds and guard are Olympic white. All metal parts aged - nickel covers chemically and chrome tumbled.

    Sure !

That's also exactly the name that I would choose for her - And I would even had something Fonky like this engraved on the pickguard :

Well ... I love Bigsbys, too, but I have come to the conclusion that having guitars with and without might come in handy if one has to justify buying more guitars ... and I don't use it for every song...

And the colours that seem a little off, usually, attract me ... Pink Panthers are cats after all, sure something worth being loved.

I’ve played lots of other Gretsches with Bigsbys that have sounded great, just on this guitar it didn’t. I’m wondering is the Electrotone body with the waffle bracing, which is relatively unusual in Gretschland, the factor. The guitar sounds a lot better to my ears with the floating tailpiece
