Easy. It's a tele. Tele's suck and are ugly. Get a real guitar.

Yep, check his thread NDD (New Dog Day).

'Zactly! Fiesta Red, aka Campbell's Tomato Soup Red aka a super desireable Fender Custom Color. I have a Classic Series 50s Stratocaster I bought just to add that color to the herd. Gorgeous!

Hey, this Tele is also double bound (never had one, came close to buying a 1960ish example with a Bigsby back in the 90s). It is unique, you like it, you should own it. And it's definitely NOT PINK! (Not that there's anything wrong with that ;)).

Go back and buy it. I can hear it crying out your name. You're welcome.

This thread is really making me laugh a lot. Tony, you picked the wrong people to talk you out of buying a guitar! Even the ones doing what you asked are appearing a tad insincere!

hehehe Tony I only got 1 question.
How many single coil Tele's do you already have?

If you already have 1 the last thing you need is a 2nd.
But you'll probly buy it anyway and sell it within 6 months.

Why don't you test out the Mesa Boogie behind you and give us a report :)

Put a humbucker in the neck position and you'll have my blessing.

no no you've confused that with stratocasters. Strats are ugly and make your face uglier with each strum, telecasters make you handsome just by purchasing them.

If I got/built a Tele, I'd put a Charlie Christian in the neck.

While my sentiment goes for stratocasters as well, I am not confused. Not... one... bit. If you ask me, which you basically did by opening it up to the entire form, is that both telecasters and stratocasters are just parts bin sourced hunks of junk. :)

Nothing sounds like a tele though... I somewhat agree on strats though!

OH! just knuckle under, go get it. put a B bender on it and get twanging. we won't think anything less of you Tony.

on a different topic... but trying to sneak it in here anyway,,, who was the rocker that said White guitars sound better?

  19. apparently, that would be the Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan . . .

    https://www.gearnews.com/billy-corgan-paint-colour-changes-the-sound-of-a-guitar/

goggle search also found out the complaint that white guitars get dirty or that white guitars yellow too fast . . . jus' sayin'

After reading the gear news article I was reminded of my first black (white pickguard) P-bass and the white "blonde" ash with maple neck/fingerboard Precision bass bought new at Guitar Center in New Orleans . . .

so, a prolly thick nitrocellulose finish vs. a see-through stain with that ash grain breathing . . .
    . . . hmmm, maybe this deserves a separate thread (?)

White won’t show fingerprints or light scratches as easily as black guitars. Pink guitars are the happy medium as it won’t yellow. Go Pink!

Maybe someone just needs to buy Tony’s Albert Lee so he could pick this up. It does look sorta man pink in that second photo so it gets my approval. ;)
