If any lefty's here know of any great places off the beaten path to find left handed Gretsches' (online preferably) please share. The main online stores i check often besides Reverb are Street Sounds, Southpaw, Jerry's Lefty Guitars, and Lefty Guitars/Rhode Island. If anyone knows of any other good sources of available lefty's i'd love to hear them.
Not many stores for lefty Gretsches in Europe, but Lefty Guitars in Belgium is pretty good. Also, Leftyfrez.com has a left handed guitar store dictionary in their web pages.
BTW, the question was about guitars, but actually I mainly gig as an upright bass player. In the beginning (80's) I oftentimes had to use borrowed instruments, and learnt slapping contra that's strung wrong handed - and never even bothered to buy, convert or make a true lefty bass! It may still happen. But please do count me as genuine lefty for guitar!
I have the same problem, 53Rockets.
My sources are mostly local craiglists, eBay, usually for 2nd hand models... And I have fortunately a local Music Shop long-time friend boss who is akeen to place any order for a Lefty Gretsch (or other brand) at best prices for me - the problem is that brand new Proline models are out of reach (€€€€) for me...
That way, my shopkeeper pal could score a rare lefty model for me in summer 2015 : one of the 10 G5622TLH SRF GRN with Bigsby B7 ever made (see avatar).
I tried one time to buy a HallMark Mosrite to Jerry's Lefty, but I don't know how this man works - too complicated, like "yes but no but this but that, and you know..." - OK, I gave up.
We reach 11...
I can't play righty or lefty..
Below is a picture of one I created for you. I've been playing the same model for years.
I will buy it from you, whatever the price...but only if it was made in the USA
Yes 100% USA imagined....
I just airmailed the money into your PlayPal account
Cool - I got it - Thanks....
Another satisfied customer!
If righties are right, does that mean that lefties are wrong?
We count 12 - be honest Guys : cast a vote only if you are Left-Handed player... All Right ? Sorry : All Wrong ?
That said, Right or Wrong-Handed, you're welcome to the discussion, of course !
I’ve always thought that as well...
I agree like you about Dave-B statement, gtttrrr : somewhere it's logical... But for me it did not worked, unfrotunately.
So my most agile hand is de facto on the strumming/plucking/picking side. It has also its proper advantages when you want to vary the attacks; to work on expressivity, tone and harmonics.
Oh me too,,, i’m A righty that plays righty,,, but i’ve Often wondered if a lefty playing righty might have an advantage,,, let’s face it, it’s all impossibly awkward when you begin to play either way,,,
The right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, so left handed people are in their right mind.

"Any advantage has its disadvantages and vice versa."

Hello there all lefties,
Maybe we should do something about the fact that some models have not been available as left handed and lobby for them at Gretsch? I mean in particular double cutaway models such as G6120DC Nashville and White Falcon G6136DC not to mention lower end similar models.
Hi StrayCat and welcome !
Did you casted your vote ?
Teasing / lobbying Gretsch would be a good idea.
I think they may be more receptive on Electromatic models, hence my G5622TLH SRF GRN, which was issued in a batch 10 items - only LH - from a special order placed by Le Gaucher (The Lefty), a LH guitar shop in Paris...
I wished they issued the G5420TLH in Fairlane Blue and they recently did it . But my wallet is empty now ...
Another of interest to me would be the G5620TLH thinline single cur center block...
