Sometimes a gold plated LH Chet Atkins style Bigsby will pop up on ebay. Otherwise, Allparts is the only place to get Bigsby parts in the USA. I made my own Chet assembly from parts. I got a RH Chet handle and base, and a LH base. I filed the nub off the base, and made my own handle with 1/4" stainless rod. Then polished everything. Pretty happy with it. I started a thread detailing the process. I didn't get one single comment or congratulation on my work. I only have a couple pics of the build still around...

Damn. That is awesome work. You might think about specializing in parts for lefties. From those pictures you'd never know it wasn't factory.

A left handed hammer would be nice so I'd stop bending nails.

    Hi 53Rockets,

IIRC o_O, in 2018, I saw a gold plated Lefty B6LH Gretsch V-cutout with Chet Atkins arm. It was sold by eBay seller rockystreetsounds. So they exist, but are fairly rare. That said MotorCentaur seems to have found a DIY solution... ;)

    A+!

Thanks for reaffirming i'm not insane. I'll have to keep my eye out. I'm not nearly as capable as MotorCentaur is. All my DIY projects are done by Visa....

None of you are the lefty that Lefty Williams is.

He has played my Legion post a couple of times and one day he was lugging quipment in and I asked if he needed a hand...awkward. He laughed and said he loves jokes like that.

Well I think you missed a category in your Lefty census (I get your point, but still think it would be a useful addition). I am another Lefty who plays right handed by choice. I made that decision back in the early 70s (actually 60s when I started the first time), based on availability of guitars, confusion avoidance with right handed players and instructors, as well as the theory that my dominant left hand might be better at fretting than my right.

About 1975 I very nearly bought a left handed Les Paul Custom in a second hand shop in an effort to re-learn Lefty. Wish I had bought it, was only about $450 at the time... of course that was a lot of money back then.
Well that is some awesome work, well done!
Once greeted a Salesman calling on my employer extending my right hand. Doh! He had a hook for a hand. Embarrassed, I apologized and offered my left instead. Doh! Another hook. He smiled. I think he actually enjoyed seeing people squirm, was not the first time for him.

Fender came out with a Jimmie Hendrix replica stratocaster a few years ago.
    Strung upside just like jimmie's.
The problem is, it was oriented for right handed players. No lefty version.
Talk about a slap in the face.
