So what amp do you run with your Gretsches?

The last several versions have an fx out that comes after the Brain but before the Echo portion, very nice.

No pictures at the moment, but I have several that I commonly use. A Rivera S120-210, a 2 x 60 watt stereo amp with a TC G-Major 2 in the loop. A late '90's Vox AC-15, a Fender Dual Showman Reverb head into a 2 x 12" cab with JBL K-120 speakers, and a little Peavey Backstage Plus. It depends on how much I want to lift and how big the stage is.

I use Blackstar HT Club 40. It's a great amp for my different musical styles also Vox Ac 30. The Gretsch sounds great on both but sings through the AC 30.

Thanks man. The photo's a bit flattering, so you can't see the mucked up job the tolex guy did on some of the seams. She sounds sweet though... the tube powered trem circuit is incredible.

Well, I could hook up my JrB>OD pedal>ElPesc w just the verb side. :)
But the JrB usually resides on my “acoustic” board. Love it on the upright, acoustic guitar, banjo, etc.

There's some real candy in this thread! Now I've settled on a guitar, I've got to start looking at amps? I had a Fender Deluxe Reverb that I just sold for £70 because I never thought I'd get an electric again. I'm such a doofus.

Do you gig, or play home mostly?

When you're done with playing the guitar, you have it to find what record you will play?

I'm within the 20% with another brand.
BTW: after 4 pages, seems like the non-Fender non-Vox are more than 20% no? Lots of Mesa too.

And I'm second with a Bugera:

I gig a lot actually, but solo acoustic shows and bluegrass. I had an electric guitar for a year or so but never played it and so I sold it along with my amp. That sale has gone towards funding my new Gretsch. To be honest, I don't know if I'll gig with it or not. I have an ACUS acoustic amp and a full PA set up in my living room for recording and working on my tone. I could always go through my UAD Twin Duo and use some amp plugins and my PA speakers at home for now until I figure out whether I'm going to play out with the Gretsch or not.

The amp I play through the most is a Pignose. If I want to get fancy I add the Pocket Pod.

    Makes me happy enough.
