It’s maybe been 20 years since I listened to this album.. first, there’s like horns on some songs, who knew?

I wasn’t into big hair rock when I was a tad pole. Poison, Crue, Kicks, Def, Cinderella.. all that stuff was popular when I was like jr high and a freshman. I hated back then. All Zep, Beatles, Naz & Lizzy even then.

Hearing it now, it’s pretty cool. Course I’m really only wondering what the album would sound like if they used TV Jones pickups in some nice CB Gretsches.

Life is too short to drink cheap whiskey. Reward yourself with some better stuff. You deserve it. :p

Jameson is a pretty decent whiskey.

Let it never be said that I’m uncooperative, or that I don’t listen to my fellow Gretsch talk members.

I’m right pleased with it. I’m not so fussy and Cork sniffery to not appreciate a good value.

Hey, he's listening to an analog LP through a vacuum tube power amp! That classifies him as a discerning individual in my book. Rock On!

I on the other hand was fully into 80s shreddy hair bands as it was a natural evolution from new wave big hair. And while I'd prefer my Japanese Suntory Hibicki (i sip a cap full every holiday), I remember Jameson being delicious when this old gut could handle the fire water.

I’ve had that, very good! I also like the pink label Nika. The Black was a little bitter in the after taste to me.

I have these tiny little ice cubes that I make with filtered water. I also have this smoke stuff to put in the water that can sifisticate cheap stuff

As hair metal guitarists go.. Mick Mars was one of the best. Not quite Jake E. Lee though.

    I'm currently enjoying a Woodford Reserve. 81u59ZDFJ4L._SY606_.jpg

for 80s metal, I will always go with Guns 'n Roses, and for Irish Whiskey it's Green Spot for me.

I don't (OK, only very rarely) drink, but I'm impressed with your stereo setup. Marble table to help isolate the great turntable, and tube power---very nice. What speakers are you using?

I'm with you WS, I rarely drink. Big Hair Rock doesn't do much for me either, but I was impressed with the stereo setup, too. Very cool looking, and I'm sure there's an impressive sound coming into the room.
