Hoping for the best for your friend.

Not implying your 24 yr old friend may die, but I’ve always felt Death is a nasty cruel mistress who does not care what age you are.

Your friend is young and strong, he has that going for him.

Chris' mom texted me last night and it seems he had gotten a viral infection ( don't know from where or what ) that traveled to his heart .
Chris texted me and said , " no heart attack . I have an infection around the outer layer of the heart " .......
Funny thing is I told someone else yesterday how much I despise text messaging  .... but that's another conversation .

    Thanks again everyone :)

That`s still very serious, Rich. I hope that your friend will get well soon.

It happened to a colleague last year, viral infection going to the heart. No link with DR though and about 35-40 years old. It went worse to the point he had to have heart surgery and was off during a few month.
Hope that won't happen to your friend.

He finally went back after recovery, quite unchanged. (But he'd always been kinda slow guy, then who knows).

Seems the same here for Chris as of today ( 7-10 ) But this still put him in ICU , quite frightening for all . Hopefully he'll be out of ICU today or tomorrow .
Can't thank you guys enough for all your concerns . Much love and friendship from me to all of you . Thank you all again :)

    Hope your friend gets well.

How the heck did a discussion about illness turn into one about bludgeoning?

    Was wondering the same.

Hi Charlie and thanks for the concerns ,
Chris came back to work on Tuesday . He said the doctors told him that he had an infection around the wall / valves of the heart and don't believe it started in the D.R. ( yea , right ...)
My personal opinion on this :
We live in the smallest County in NY State ( Rockland County but The Bronx is really the smallest but more people ) 15 miles north of NY City . It's very true that if you grow up here , you can have a conversation with a stranger at one end of the County and sooner or later you both know the same people . I really believe that the Rockland County Health Dept does not want to cause an alarm or concern . Chris went to the D.R. for a " destination wedding " and now the groom is back home in the hospital with the same thing . Why no " alarm or concern " .... the outbreak of the measles in the USA has started here in Rockland County . The Rockland County Health Dept has it hands full right now and I believe they want to keep it " low key " ..... google , measles , Rockland County , NY
    Thanks again for asking :)

That's really kind of scary, especially if the groom is now in the hospital as well. Glad to hear your friend is recovering.

Dang........not cool. I’m sorry to hear all of this Rich. I’m mighty skeptical of a lot in this ‘ol world. I pray your friend makes a full recovery and leads a long healthy life.

We were just talking about this D.R issue at home a couple of days ago. I'm with you. I don't think any of this is coincidental. Also have a friend who went out there and got hospitalized. Of course all test came back inconclusive. Cover up all around. Glad Chris is doing well.

If that were the case we'd be hearing about a lot of deaths in Fort Lauderdale every summer.
