I just finished my practicing rig..... and now i'm feelin', i might get cured from g.a.s one day.......
Since my new amp works really fine, i only had few things annoying me about everyday-practicing:
    - all the plugging and handling cables when practicing and at the end of practice.
    - annoying metronome-app on mobile.
    - different sources of sound when playing along to backing tracks
    - Steadily tilting or sliding footswitch (it's just too light....)

Here's what i bought and built to help it...:

    IMG_20190511_144916.jpg
First i got me a BOSS TU-3 tuner-pedal and a KORG MA-2 metronome, which i velcroed to the back of a decorative typecase (bought for some little bucks in the home department store and pimped with a pair of drawer handles).

    IMG_20190511_145051.jpg
exceeding cable is held by self-adhesive cable-clamps.

    IMG_20190511_144651.jpg
At the end of practice i just unplug from the tuner and put everything on top of the amp.......

Last but not least i bought a cheap music player which plays all my backing tracks and play-alongs right through my amp. That makes practicing much less exhausting for my ears and dialing in at the right volume much easier.

So now it's is a real plug-and-play music-corner.....i love it!

How about you? Show your practicing rigs and guitar caves and corners!

I practice quite a bit through the bigger stuff too, but my current bedroom amp is a Marshall Class 5 combo w/ a G10M and an EL84M swapped in for the stock bits (can't find any of my pics of it, so I borrowed this one courtesy of Google):

I'll also plug in the AC4HW1 w/ some regularity for variety's sake:

It's seen its fair share of low volume practice duty and is more likely to get hauled out for some low volume jamming, but it's the Class 5 that has probably seen the most hours played through of any of my amps, big, medium or small, since I snagged it a several years ago and may as well be bolted down to its spot in the bedroom.

I have a secret weapon. It is a Gallien Kruger 250 ML.
A 100 watt stereo amp outfitted with analog effects presets. Very useable sounds. Can be played at bedroom or arena levels (with two 4x12 Marshall boxes).
Because of it`s incredibly small size I use it as a backup when playing live. It saved my day more than once.
Metal housing. Built like a tank. And it has that cool braket that can be srewed to a microphone-stand.
Great tool for practising at home. Records very nicely, too.

Any regrets w/ the Power Station?

I've been trying to convince myself to grab one for a few months...

This is my “upstairs rig” and my go-to for dragging to the patio, or for goin to buddy house jams. Bigger rig, with more pedals in the basement jam room.

These are it if I plug in. Sometimes add my reverb tank to my little stack.

Thinking about it, these are my only two amps that I own. No real need for more.

It's the Vox MV50 AC version with nu-tube run thru the Fryette Power Station and a 2 x12 cab.
I can't hear much difference between it and a Vox AC15 except it's got a lot more gain on tap :)
So good cheap little 50w amp that delivers the Vox AC chime.

    None at all Sid.
One of my best buys ever.

For me it'll transparently attenuate any high watt amp to bedroom volume levels.
Or amp up any small watt amp up to 50w.
On my little Vox MV50 AC and Roland Cube 60 it really improves the tone quality cos it runs on 2 x 6L6 tubes.
It then also provides a great series loop for those 2.

For you with many high watt amps it's even more useful imo.
Unless you're gigging, or you live in isolated location, you won't be able to crank yours so never getting their full value. Problem solved with the PS :)

It's 100% transparent with no colouring of your base amp tones and the attenuate/amp up dial has lots of taper and is easy to adjust.
