Another one on the way: #4 thanks to a terrific discount and no shipping. I was about to rewire pedalboard #2 and change the power supply, but in a shocking case of laziness I decided it was easier to start with another new pedalboard so I can leave the old Voodoo Labs power supply in place and use it for more low-current pedals from the mountain that I have acquired. :D

Actually that's the Ebay pic, but it's only coming from a local supplier here in Sydney, so it won't be subject to USPS handling abuse! :D

Pedalboard #2 (FX loop) has been re-organized, rewired, and has a new Strymon Zuma high-current power supply:

    Well done audept! :D

Continuing the Strymon theme.... We got a local supplier sometime in the last week and I managed to last a whole day w/ this knowledge before I had this stuff following me home for an audition:

I've only played w/ them for a night so far, but I'm pretty sure they're staying. The BigSky and Timeline both seem capable of doing just about anything any other verb or delay I've ever had will do and then some and so far they seem like they will be pretty easy to get along w/ once I get some presets built and a multiswitch or 2. They both seem to manage to deliver a mind boggling number of capabilities and personalities w/ a consistent classy studio vibe to them. They seem like they can do cold and sterille, shrill and robotic, organically warm and grungy, and lots of stops in between equally well. I'm fairly certain they could keep me happily busy in sonic exploration land for a really long time if I let them.

The Zuma seems equally well designed and built and has rendered every previously noisy dirt pedal I've plugged into it pretty much dead silent. Seems like all the power supply I could ever need, I just wish they'd had the bracket set for mounting it at the local shop.

Put together this set up w/ the new Strymon stuff last night:
    guitar > PolyTune Mini > bypass loop [ DiY Vintage Fuzz Master > Rockaway Archer > SFT ] > Tone Job > Tap-A-Whirl v3 > Timeline > BigSky > amp

A friend is converting his setup over to MIDI and sold me the small form factor multiswitch to hook up to the BigSky and I should have the Strymon Multiswitch for the Timeline some time next week. I'm really liking the setup as is to although I may wind up breaking the drive section out onto the Nano+ board I've got the Ojai mounted on to make things a bit more ergonomic and add a 3 loop switcher (and possibly an analog delay and/or a funky mod pedal of some sort).

Added a Boss MS3 to the rig this weekend. Bit of a learning curve for me but I'm getting the hang of it, lots of trial and error. Slowly changing my cables over to GeorgeL's, seems to help a bit with noise.[IMG]

I quite like it, we'll built, no noise (that I can perceive) , and inexpensive. I don't use it too much, only for a few songs I play, but it performs well. I haven't had it too long so take all that with a grain of salt. My setup isn't all that high end aside from the Brain, but it does exactly what I need it to.

Well, mine still isn’t final, but I got a Mystery Brain and it is definitely staying on the board. I’m waiting for a Surfy Bear tremolo which should replace the Alexander Equilibrium, and a Clusterfuzz Jr will take the OCD spot. I’m just using the OCD now for a heavy fuzz tone. Between the Ethos and the normal and Abby modes on the Mystery Brain (and my volume knob) I have all the overdrive options I need.

I like it! Now question how does the dyno brain compare to the carbon copy. I love my carbon copy and really like the mod button. So if there is a better analog delay I’m all ears!
