I still watch the Pythons with my grandson (tho I have to censor it sometimes for an 8 YO). Mr. Creosote is right up there with the Parrot Sketch for him. I didn't grow up with the Pythons---Groucho had that spot first. The Pythons definitely bent my sense of humor after that, also.
Before I started watching MP, I went through a big Marx Brothers phase.
One Friday night, my Dad said that he'd let me stay up late fore "something special" on TV. "Duck Soup." Haven't been the same since.
