Just saw. One of the greats.

Soundgarden, is one of the first bands that really got me into rock when I was young. The first time I heard black hole sun it was a game changer.

    Very sad, RIP.
Soundgarden was one of the bands in the '90s that eventually made me play a Gretsch Jet.

Believe so. He covered Petty's Southern Accent on that album. And the album after, "Solitary Man" he covered "I Won't Back Down". He did a series of these in the 90's with Rick Rubin. Some people didn't dig'em but I thought they rocked. Rusty Cage was a favorite!

Reports have 'something around his neck' so while they are reporting suicide there's always the INXS explanation.

heard this on the radio on the way into work. Super Bummed. Guy had such an original Voice. I liked Sound Garden, But for me Audio Slave was the bigger deal. Loved Audio Slave. Tom Morello paired with Cornell on Vocals. loved it.

Just read about this this morning. Man, I grew up on Soundgarden and Audiosoave. His voice was my view iconic rock voice. From the screams to the sliding around with that soft gravel. I was looking forward to Soundgarden touring again.
