You only need one working kidney, right?
What's the street price on a relic one?
Double post. WiFi fubar!
I had a 5126 Silver Sparkle like that. You could see the overspray of flakes in the pickup holes!
Yup, a real beauty alright. I find the red on these compliment the mahogany really well too. I would have one had I not hesitated from getting approval from the wife a year and a half ago. And due to recent Vox GAS I’m dead in the water on this one too.
Summer NAMM is around the corner. I really wish they’d do a similar large sparkle again. This time maybe in a black sparkle or even blue. Section2’s recent blue sparkle shows how great it would look. Aside from custom shops or FSR, I don’t believe they’ve done either color since around 1999/2000. Bring them back.
Gold sparkle for me.
We’re talking sparkle here, not glitter, not metallic, but sparkle.
I love my Red Sparkle Duo Jet. I also love my Midnight Sapphire Penguin. It’s kind of glitterish, but not worth to mention besides a real sparkle.
A reissue of a black sparkle Jet would be nice. It might be the only reason to part with my Red Sparkle Duo Jet. Buy first, sell later. Much, much later.
Yup, I wanted a white guitar, so I did the same thing with vinyl.
that pro jet is lush'ish, oooooh what a legit mama!
so here I have a 55 reissue in red sparkle and a matching red sparkle amp, but they do not photograph well....
What's the story with that Bigsby?
Haha, this is the guitar that ultimately led to the invention of Biggsfix. One of the MANY things I tried was putting a REAL (USA) Bigsby on it, so I picked a B7 especially because it looked more classic. It still would not stay in tune because I had not yet discovered that the extreme break angle was causing problems. After I got the tuning issues straightened out with the Biggsfix, I saw a “Sta-Tuned” fine-tuning system on the local CL. I didn’t really need it, but since I wanted to check it out, what the heck...... It is designed more for a B6, but always up for a challenge, cut away a little of the casting to get it to fit. Viola!
I call it my Floydsby!
