The Round up was last weekend in the Sierras, Wilseyville. Ya, me too, never heard of it before but it was the location of a cute rustic retreat at about 3,000’ in the western Sierras.

It was a very nice event that @Ric12String put on. Lots of top level currently performing musicians, good weather, good surroundings and good food.

Couple high points for me, some very vintage guitars and of course Joe Carducci.

I was feeling a bit lost that first night and Joe sat down next to me at dinner and by the time we finished talking about 30 minutes later I felt like I was his best friend. He has a wonderful charm and the ability to entertain with amazing stories.

A couple vintage 50’s Jazz Masters

A 1951 no-caster! My birth year and even my month, January.....Ya, I’m old

Taking a guess I would estimate a value of $7,000 or more in stuff given away! Topping the list was a custom amp and three Gretsch Jets, two of which were Players Editions Pro Lines!

    Next year’s dates, 2020, are 9/11-9/13

Isn't that why Gretsch came out with these new Players editions and broadtrons? Ahhhh, we're all getting older but at least there is still Gretsch guitars for us! Roundups look like fun!

I am glad that you persevered, radd, in getting registered for the Roundup and then joining us for the weekend. It was great to have met you and I trust that we will see you at future Roundups as well.

Someone mentioned the Roundup t-shirts: They all shipped out yesterday, so, if you ordered one, you can be looking for it late this week or early next week.

Save the dates: As radd mentioned, the 2020 Roundup will be September 11-13. Put it on your calendars now so that you can plan to be with us for a fun weekend.
