Took my trusty old Pro-Jet to Worship this weekend. She still has the lackluster stock Gretschbuckers.
I’ve always intended to upgrade to the T-Armonds but have never pulled the trigger.
Funny though, I’ve always managed to get a good tone out of this guitar and it seems to garner more compliments than the others.
I don’t really know where I’m going with this other than to say you can still get ‘er done with the great Gretsch Electromatics.
This one fits me like a favorite old t-shirt but it’s even better cuz it covers my belly.

I've got the black version. Suits me fine. It's the only humbucker guitar I won, tho if I can figure out how to get a pair of English mount Bill Lawrence pickups in it, I might change it. I'm not gigging, and only play at home, so I can't justify anything pricier---and this is as nice a guitar as any others I've found. I'm just not overly fond of the MOTS pickguard.

That top has aged beautifully with a sweet glow to it. It’s likely glad you brought it out.

I hear that P-90s just drop right in with no issues. Nothing wrong with P-90s. Some GFS pickups fit right in as well.

Yeah I’ve always wanted to change the pick guard on mine too. But I’ve never quite been able to decide what color would be best plus I just keep buying new guitars when I have extra money.

A buddy of mine has one of these with Duncan P90’s and it sounds fantastic.

Hey...if that’s Andy Partridge and Co. in your call sign you have my agreement!

P-90’s would be cool in a Jet but this one’s calling for something a little more sparkling.

It sounds like T Armond in a P90 mount might drop right in.

I agree with Rich. You can change the pickups if you like, but I love the look of the pearl pickguard on that Pro Jet. Of course, I've had a few Strats with pearl pickguards, so I'm a little biased. :D

haha no, I play a Bogner Ecstacy Classic amp, but I’m not at all in disagreement with your alternative interpretation!

Lovely. I'd say leave it or white pickguard. I wouldn't want a pickguard to overpower the guitar visually, and I think a dark one might do that. But it's your guitar.

    Great specimens !
A lot of pleasure from these models and a great kustomisation platform for $.
I have to say that the minibuckers were more than ok, just wanted to buy a modeling creature.

    Changeling :
    - pickups
    - master vol
    - bass cut
    - treblecut
    - low rider alum bridge
    - pickguard light reshape

    That's it.

Unknown year Jet. Couldn't abide the buckers, although I tried. It was B stock anyways, I had a TVJ day. No regrets. IMG_4001 (2).jpg

How do you guys install a B3 without any further modding? Is there enough string angle?
Do they have a set neck?
    They‘re hard to get meanwhile...
