Super Sweet. Love the SW's and I've never even seen one.
This black sparkle G3166 is no longer with me -- too heavy -- but it's always nice to have a reason to reminisce...
Are these pretty uncommon? So far I think I’ve only ever seen yours, mine and maybe one other on this forum.
Yes it was thank you brother and it is a limited edition, then they would run another colour like the Cadillac Green, White, Aspen Green or the Candy Apple Red with the same prefix: G5425TG <Tremolo Gold> FMIC told me they run about 700 of each.
My first Gretsch was a G5435TGC (Cadillac Green). A FSR for Long and McQuade (but I have also seen some for sale in the far east).
Right on thanks. I have seen the white and red ones too, but the black/gold seems a lot less common for whatever reason. Not sure I’ve seen the green one, need to google that.
I would love to get my hands on one of the purple or metallic green ones Sweetwater did too, but those seem to have really jumped in value.
My only black Gretsch is the Baritone:
Hi all! First time posting and what better way to start than with my new (and first) Gretsch! I’m not sure why I didn’t get one sooner.
