Not sure how I missed this thread but better late than never!! I don't want to say I'm envious but man would I love to own that!

In my opinion, that Tele build completely rocks!

    Thanx man!
It’s been my workhorse guitar since I bought it in 2010. I’ve just been adding stuff, changing stuff, breaking stuff etc for about as long as I’ve had it. I can’t really tell ya how much money i’ve sunk into it over the years, but I know it’s a lot.
This refinishing job was by far the cheapest mod I’ve done, although the most drastic.

I’m looking into a custom black leather pick guard and armrest with the same jolly roger. I think it’d class it up a bit more, and make it all the more genuine.

Nice work. I'm wondering if you carried the treatment up to the headstock? Maybe get a strap that has a parrot attached where it goes over your shoulder? Creativity is NOT dead. Yo Ho!

Oh man, if there was a way to get the neck stained dark like the body without sanding the finish off, I’d do it, but I wouldn’t want my left hand to turn black every time I played it. I really really like how it feels as is. I kind of feel like I shouldn’t risk fooling with it if it feels so right now.

the maple fretboard is well set off by the burnt look. I would not messs with the neck. I was just wondering if the headstock itself received the darkened wood look. shouldn't affect your playing or comfort. thankz.

Oh I gotcha, I thought you meant all the way up to the headstock. But yeah, the headstock could look really cool if it matched the body. I was actually thinking of burning a cool design into it with my soldering iron, but i’ll be leaving well enough alone for now.

    I like it.

It's always as well a question not only how I do like the look of something, but how it matches with its user. I see these two match very well ... and in the end, how you like it is the point who counts most anyway.
