I REALLY didn't need another amp, I mean really don't. That being said, I always wanted one and it was on clearance for $300.. I love my Vintage 47 amps, but I wanted something more modern... Modern meaning late 60s-mid 70s...

It sounds amazing. I was playing Cream songs, Yardbirds and some Zeppelin. Now I need a Les Paul...

Now I gotta sell of 3 or 4 amps, 5 or 6 guitars and I'll be happy.

Sorry no pics yet, I've been pretty sick and feel too lazy to take them.

    Congratulations !

    I have the Origin 5C 1x8" predecessor : the Class 5 1x10"...

Is the Origin 5C smaller in size ? Yes - I just checked it :

    Class 5 = 502 x 390x 230mm / 12kg
    Origin 5C = 466 x 369 x 191mm / 9.4kg

The controls are also different, with supplementary gain and booster facility for the Origin 5C for modern tone, I guess :

    A+!

    Think Plexi.

Tilt all the way counter-clockwise (full left) is low sensitivity, bassy-er input.

Tilt all the way clockwise (full right) is the high sensitivity, trebley-er input.

Tilt in the middle is input 1 and 2 jumpered.

Sweet little amp, congrats! I was only vaguely aware of these. I'll always have a soft spot for Marshalls. Still have 2, but sometimes still miss my full stack with a 100w and a 50w Plexi.
Awesome, I love my little Class 5. Always sort of reminded me of a little Plexi. I got the white Guitar Center special edition (just had to have it). Thought of buying a black one to go with it, but never got around to it, then they quit making them, and for awhile it seemed no one was selling them.

That is cool to know, thanks. Always ran my Plexi's jumpered, usually with both volumes dimed. My mother must've been a saint. What is that ringing noise?

I've always wanted a Class 5. Still do.

Slam an Xotic EP Booster into the front end of that Origin for pure 70's heaven.
