I always take my pick guard off and poker chip if it has one, and that leaves a hole, and I have to fill it.

Most the time they just get a single stone, but I thought a horseshoe was in order.

Great idea - love the horseshoe.
I took the pick guard off my Jet club and just put the screw back in. This is much classier.

What a cool idea!! Do you need to put anything else into the hole to hold it in place or are the studs the perfect size as is??

I take thread tie it to the post, sometimes the shaft needs to be cut shorter, then I wind it till it slides in the hole tight then mash it down .

Great idea, I have a G2655 without the pickguard and I just put the screws back in. I think I will start looking around for a nice stud to replace my screw.

It's cheaper just to fill it with belly-button lint....:po_O

I did something similar when I decided to switch to a Martin style pick guard on my 60's Fender Palomino.

Lately it's gotten to be worth a few sheckles so I've gone back to the original screw on guard.
