here we go.
Like Sabato, I have the Gretsch Tooled Leather strap in Walnut for my orange (Reverend Horton Heat) 6120. Like the look, I do have to be careful with the metal. Have the same in black for my Smoke Green Anniversary, and it looks great too. Firm believer that every guitar should have it's own strap.
I use one of these in brown for my 6120-55. Matches the western motif perfectly. And, no buckles!
I like the classy leather straps you guys have, but I wanted more color with my orange guitar, so I got the LM Products Retro strap in the Tapestry pattern.
Gretsch has its own brand on some woven straps that look similar to LM Retro patterns, but I haven't seen a Gretsch strap with these colors.
Same here for my G3140.
Kind the same range of colors as @Groutsch
It's a cheap one https://www.thomann.de/fr/dandrea_a...trap.htm?sid=63afe16c7d759a40fbb6dbd9333ea214
It's plastic inside then not so OK with sweat and probably not very long term resistant but as I don't gig, it does the job.
Custom made for me by forum member Richmoo in 2015 . Spoke with Rich after he sent it to me and thanked him . Rich was an electrician looking to retire and do leather work p/t but said his health was ailing . Poor guy , haven't seen him on the forum since . I think about him every time I use the strap
Perri’s (got mine at GC) makes some nice stuff.
Suede on the inside matches the binding and the leather matches the rosewood fretboard (although that may not help you).
Have fun finding your perfect match.
Strap choice is an important one IMHO.
Nothing classier than an orange guitar and a brown leather strap!
Cheap straps my local music shop sells for $5.
I have a few nice leather straps for other guitars, but this one slides on my shoulder better.
That's what I'm afraid of too and that's why I prefer a strap without metal or a real small piece.
Thanx. That's nice too.
Yeah Walnut is the better match I found so far... but it's a matter of taste.
Very beautiful leather work!
Like them too and I have an old strap (my first one) which is quite similar with a lot of orange. I have to restore it a bit.
Cool and a little sad story. Nice work on this very special strap!
Yes, it's an important choice. This brown is a match but a bit too wide for my taste.
It seems to be the choice of lot of orange lovers.
It's still a hard choice to make.
Is that the Hendrix strap from Woodstock?
I have this exact guitar, except mine is the newer model with Brian's signature on the back of the headstock rather than the pickguard. Honestly, I think I prefer it on the pickguard.
This one, by Levi straps.
I go with the Gretsch Walnut for a perfect match:
Well, it's a long story.
The guy playing congas with the on stage robbed it backstage after the concert. Now he later was the brother in law of a triangle player who happened to tour in Europe with the Pittsburgh Philharmonic Orchestra. After a splendid Rachmaninov rendition from that orchestra in the Paris Wagram concert venue, we tied together at the backstage bar and ended playing poker almost all night, also with the timbal player and one rather sad guy from the strings section (who certainly was wondering what on earth he was doing there in that story). And that's how I earned that strap from him. I had had to risk a wonderful Clash On Parole tee-shirt during that round to finally win and earn the strap.
Actually, I had never noticed, you got a pretty sharp look and amazing memory of these Hendrix images. I've checked and it looks exactly the same. And now I need to get a white strat for sure
Mine is that newer model also but I was so looking forward to having the sig on the pickguard that I bought one on Ebay for cheap!
I'm a fan of contrasting colours. Blue and orange look great together! My guitar isn't a true orange, but you get the idea:
codinaleather.com has what your heart desires. repurposed horse hide and zircon gems for this cat.
Personally, I like the one Rockinforjesus has. To me orange and dark brown just always seem to go together.
I have one like this on my 6120.
They also make an orange one.
