I’ve already got this one.
Or... Only one, you said ? No, sorry, I can't play...
One cat. One vote. One beer.
Thank you for all that work. I was planning on doing it, but you saved me.
I would agree that the preponderance of Gretsch guitars with Fender second is not surprising. Nor is the majority Fender amps.
What I did find interesting is that for not a few, their choice was not the most expensive guitar. Electros, Squiers, Epis are there.
Tavo does rule though.
If it has to be what I already own it would be:
Peavy Ecoustic 112
If I don't have to already own them:
I want my 1955 6120 back
One of these
And I guess I'' keep my Boss ME-80 cuz it does a lot of things (just none very well) and I don't know what the Brain hoopla is all about.
My pleasure, apologies if I stolt your thunder
Tough decision...I'd rather have to pick one bourbon, one scotch, one beer
I've posted this pic before around here, and it's still my favorite combination.
Not into pedals, so I guess that my old reverb tank will be the pedal choice.
My 6120, Cave Valley Plexi Head, and my Vox cab with a Celestion Gold, are really "it" for me. Just so fun to play and has some great tones.
I feel very lucky to have these.
Guitar would be my 5420, naturally. Pedal would probably be my Old Blood Noise Endeavors Dweller, because it can do so so so many atmospheric sounds. And one amp is already one more than I have now, so I don't really know.
Always happy to play the good doctors games. So I highly commend the Gretsch Tennessee Rose.
And the Vox AC15C1
The MXR carbon copy
Basically all the classics. So without wishing to upset the good doctor I also commend beer
And biscuits (cookies?) - dark chocolate in my house
6120de, trio 2 for the pedal and my digitech rp360xp in place of an amp, condo bedroom picking demands headphones. One of the many subtle advantages is having 2 loopers to play with.
Not at all, I tell anyone who wants to do my work, “Have at it!”
I love the quilt on that one. So damn pretty.
Thank you sir. I was on a vintage quilted top hunt for decades, with luck/timing/funds never working out.
When I spotted this one, it came home quickly.
The top is just icing on the cake to me. This is the best playing/feeling/sounding guitar that I've ever been around or owned.
I just feel blessed being able to be its' keeper while I'm alive.
Guitar is an easy choice. Panther
Amp is my 68 CDR
Pedal is EHX Crayon
1962 Ocean Turquoise Stratocaster (lam not slab board)
1962 Fender Vibrolux with effects loop mod
Line 6 HX Stomp
When I first saw that picture, I thought it was James Taylor.
I noticed that as well. My choice was my least expensive Gretsch. It just sounds amazing.
Wow this is tough. I mean I have a lot of guitars, precisely because I love them (certainly not because I deserve them!). But to choose just one of each, and from my current collection? It would have to be a Strat (as much as I love my Gretsches, and my Gibsons).
So, Roadworn 60s Stratocaster, Deluxe Reverb Reissue and TS9 Tube Screamer (I have a vintage one, my newer TS808 Tube Screamer would be an acceptable alternative).
Second choice? Probably my RHH 6120, such a fantastic guitar. And Mystery Brain, it does what it does so well. Bassman Reissue Ltd. amp. Or Vox AC15 C1 TV. Or... and then there's the Les Pauls, the Gretsch Anniversay, the gorgeous and perfect feeling 6129 Silver Jet... argh! So hard to choose. But I did, top of my post. So glad I don't really have to though!
Does he sell those T Shirts? That is cool! XXL btw... just sayin'
My own personal equipment?
