Big fan here, I was lucky enough to see them several times thru the years. Always a great show!
Great picture of her!
They left out the part
About how she didn’t start playing a Gretsch till the mid 80’s though.
I know!! I’ve never thought of The Cramps beeing Psychobilly either just a great Rock’n’Roll band. But i suppose they had a huge punk following too so a bit of a cross over band...
Not even Setzer could wear those mini-skirt.
Yeah, straight up damned Rock n’ Roll!
i think the Psychobilly thing, as a musical genre, really got started in Britain, right? The Cramps may have totally inspired it, and were reffered to as “Psychobilly” by journalists early on cuz they blended rockabilly with punk flavor and sang about psychopathic stuff. I think you crafty Brits really latched onto that and ran with it! With some great results!
Yeah, he wouldn’t have the balls to dress that well!
Those early guitars she played had DeArmond pickups and sounded Gretschy as hell though.
They get much love in my house, this is the door of my music room, facing out into the hall.
I understand she played a Dan Armstrong for a very short while but it was stolen before they ever recorded anything. Then she played these rare Canadian Lewis Guitars. I’ve yet to see one in person. Guess they way a ton.
The Rev on the other hand though...
