Trying to keep busy so I did this the other day. This is my working rig for my blues band. Hopefully if any of you are on the fence about buying any of this gear the video will help

Hi Nick, if you have time any chance of taking a photo of what your "usual" settings are on the pedals? Maybe I missed it in the video.... THX

Damn, already sounded killer even before the pedals were on. Still trying to figure out how to sneak a El Pesco in.

I just got an el pesky. I did not need it but I’m sure glad I got it. Very cool pedal.

Nick thanks for posting the rig, sounds great!

I adjust my pedals and amp based on the room. Each room is different and if the amp is louder etc. but this is my general starting point

The moonshine is a great amp with pure class A tone. Best amp I’ve ever owned and matched with this guitar i could gig with just that. The El Pescadoro just gives me that magic touch between t he reverb and the preamp

Very cool, and thanks for sharing this. Some great playing and TONE!

I just purchased my first Tavo pedal, a Fluid Drive (Detroit Casket).

It's the first OD pedal that I've ever bought, and within an hour of playing around, knew that it was staying around. A killer tone that I've been looking for.

I'm confused though. How come the video is image reversed? Lol

Thanks again, and very useful to see what these pedals can really do.

What do ya use the Ubangi for that differs from the D Casket.. I don’t get much use outa the Ubangi. It’s pretty aggressive above a tickle of gain..thinking the Casket might be a better fit.....

I use the ubangi for a slight drive on its own and then I stack it with the Fluid drive for an increased gain. Stacking OD’s is cool and takes a little time dialing in but it’s awesome in the end.

Right now the ubangi is off my board. I only use the DC sparingly I don’t usually need that much gain

Thanks for the response.. I’m starting to realize that the gain stages in the Mystery Brain and what my properly set up Bassmans
Produce is enough...Enjoying the sweet Clean to light Bark tones in my Setzer Sigs..
Sill want A DC to be sure I don’t need it....

The setzer digs in my gretsch guitars sound great with my moonshine and then the El Pescadoro just gets me exactly where I want to be. The DC does smooth things out a bit even if you just match the gain and the volume.

You’ve got a simple setup that sounds stellar.

I’m planning a similar board right now with two pedals on order from Tavo. I’m going to move my Mystery Brain, and El Pescadoro to a mini board for hopefully jamming out again next year (they’re that good and all I’ll need). Then leave my bigger board with a Volante paired up with hand wired big Atomic Brain for fun at home.

I imagine it’s hard times right now for smaller builders such as Nocturne just as it is for a lot of people. If anyone has been waiting to purchase whatever Nocturne product you fancy for awhile.... now might be a good time if it’s not going to hurt you financially. I’m sure Tavo and family would greatly appreciate the business. As would any other small builders of choice right now.

Edited: Nick, I forgot to add thanks for taking the time to put it together. It was interesting to see how you use your gear.

Thank you for this nice demo. I think it is very generous from you even sharing your settings in detail.
