When I think of gretsch, that is the guitar that comes to mind.
I finally put it down long enough to watch a movie. It was tough.
a couple more pictures. It came with dice.
I’m really diggin’ the accessories.
Just sweet. Never too many pics of this git.
That’s about the nicest looking orange finish ever.
What a stunner. Congratulations.
Look at those flamey sides! Very nice choice and enjoy!!
A jewel! Play it in good health
What pups are in and are those strap locks or Gretsch thumb screw??
Also are you gonna give it the hot rod wiring n loose the mud switch n expose a hole??
Ray Butts pick ups.
Comes with Schaller strap locks and no I think I’ll keep the mud switch. Played with it all day yesterday. It add a variety of sounds. I like it.
Congrats on an amazing guitar! I want to try some Ray Butts pickups in person, betting they are the best.
I went to a guitar show in October and TV Jones had a both set up. They had that funky guitar that you can swap pick ups. I tried just about all of them. I thanked the guy for his patience.
I found that the butts Filter’Tron was more clear than the classics but not as sharp and twangy as the Setzers. I was wanting a guitar that could recreate the original chuck berry Johnny b Goode sound.
With the pick up switch in center position and mud switch in the down position and a little slap back, boom there it is.
With the same settings and a little more gain on the amp you get the original stray cat strut sound.
Now if you set the pick up switch to the neck and the mud switch center you the BSO stray cat strut sound. It’s awesome!!
If I could afford it I would order another one just like it right now. I love this guitar.
I know exactly what you're saying. When you find "that one", that's just SO good, it's hard not to want another one.
