    Squier Bass VI.
Been waiting several years for this and finally the right one at the right price came up on Reverb. Local pickup and only 10 miles away.
The internet can be a glorious thing!
Gonna get my Jet Harris on:)

Looks great, but I'm intrigued by the 4 switches for 3 pickups ?

That would be the “Strangle” circuit...a low-cut.

The rest are straight up off on for each pickup

Congrats, looks like a whole lotta fun. You’ve got a wild wiggle stick too.

Audept’s keen eyes have me wondering as well. Obviously on/off for three of them. Is the fourth like a kill switch or is there a Pre hidden somewhere inside?

Edited: looks like you answered while I asked.

Congrats, enjoy. I remember seeing Bass vi's used in the 70s, came close to snagging one a few times.

I think awhile back I saw a video of Glen Campbell playing the solo of "Wichita Lineman" on a Fender VI. That's a really interesting looking instrument! Is the body the same size and shape as a Jaguar?

Congrats, blueruins! I was surprised to see the locking tremolo on a Squier. Was it upgraded, or is that stock?

I remember seeing that when he originally did it. Apparently the recording was made with a Danelectro and not the Fender.

You’d think for the price I’m paying for it it would come with a hard case...

I’m really not sure. This is a 2010 and I know that the pickguard and Mustang bridge are not stock so it’s possible.
Pretty sure the new ones do not come with the locking mechanism.
The current owner didn’t do the upgrades and didn’t know much about them.
I really should have requested to inspect the instrument first but I wasn’t wrapping my head around the local pickup option at midnight when I saw it...pretty stupid of me really.
It might be a s*** show for all I know but it has all the upgrades I would have done myself and I made a low offer so I think I can afford some professional set-up if it’s required.

Congrats! I had a lot of fun with mine: La Bellas, bone nut, cellulose guard and Staytrem. I sold it to fund my Duo Jet, kinda wish I still had it :)

I think the Bass Vi is a bit bigger than a Jaguar or Jazzmaster body.
If you look on Warmoth website they sell this body style separate of Jaguars and Jazzmasters

That colour combo looks beautiful. I've really got into Jaguars recently, now I'm keeping my eyes open for a white one.
