First - If anyone is interested in a Martin Dreadnaught Jr pm me . So I've been wanting to " up the game " on a travel guitar for some time now . It's not that I don't like the Dreadnaught Jr. , I just prefer a full size guitar . So last night , I drove over to Guitar Center " just to look around " . I first saw the Martin GC-MMV back in 2014 and was very impressed . Back in 2014 they were selling new for $1599 and last year they jumped up to $1799 . Walked in , stumbled upon it , and saw it on clearance for $1275 . Just had to have it because next week it'll be gone due to " Richie's Law .... I mean " Murphy's Law " . Martin makes this model specifically for Guitar Center ( and I believe Musicians Friend also ) This is a lot of guitar for the money . Basically it's a stripped down D-28 . Solid Sitka Spruce Top , Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides , Mahogany neck with Ebony Fingerboard , Nitrocellulous Laquer Finish , and Gold ( plated ) Tuning Machines . AND THE CASE IS INCLUDED .... WOOT WOOT !!
