Been playing a new one at the local music store. Just plays S M O O T H. So next thing I know I went out and bought one on line. Mint condition. I cant find a flaw in setup or workmanship anywhere. I've had a few Ibanez archtops before, but this one is just killer. :>)

Those are beauties! Now, if I could only play like George.

That's one damn fine guitar. I loved the look of the special GB Kimono Ibanez did a few years ago:

I had the opportunity to play one at a friend`s home back in the 80ies. It was the first hollow body eletric I ever tried.
I was very impressed by it`s sound and craftmanship.
    Great buy, Swivel.

To make it truly like George's, you need clear cello tape over the F holes.

I have often lusted after one of those...good looking guitars with the inlays and a nice sunburst...really like the pickguard! I'd also like to know how you like the pickups...

Only had it a day so far, but initial impressions of the Super 58's are good. Getting those dull lifeless flatwounds off it today and it should be more edgy. (it's dull unplugged, especially on the low strings) I played one that didnt have FW's and totally different sound. I had no idea...

Is that a replacement tailpiece or did they change from the split one?

Like I said over at the TDPRI, that sunburst pickguard is classy!

She’s a stunner, bet you’ll be thrilled after string change. Congratulations!

That's the tailpiece they use now. I think it's ebony. The guitar comes with a wood bridge also, Not sure if I will try that at some point or not. But it sounds killer with the flatwounds off it.

Nice! I've always thought that Ibanez makes some very good guitars. I know that some people don't like their necks. but they've always felt good to me., and when I first heard the Super 58 pickups, I knew they had something special (I have the Super 58 Customs in my AM93).

Congrats on picking up a great Jazz box, swivel!

Congrats. I've owned a GB10 in the 70s when they first came out and a GB12 anniversary model. Fine guitars indeed.
