Thats a beauty, congrats!
Congrats and enjoy, Scott!
Hard to argue with a good Les Paul. Looks awesome - congrats!
Scott that's a beautiful Les Paul. The Honeyburst is one of my favorite finishes. Are the pickups the '57 Classics? If so, you've got an awesome combination of great finish and great pickups.
Awesome purchase Shrews824! I wanted one, procrastinated and finally pulled the trigger on a 2014 LP Traditional. Like the '13 it has the '59 reissue pickups and is why it has been my #1 for a while.
The flame on your honey burst looks fantastic and is very close to my Tokai ls-135.....However I like your Traditional better. Great guitar and hope the honeymoon lasts a long time. The '12 Traditional is pure tone and quality!
Hey Scott , welcome back and what a way to come back . She's a beauty . I really like that color / stain . Enjoy and play well
Wow!!! Thank you very much. I, too, really like the top on that thing. It was definitely eye catching the first time I saw it.
Thank you so much. I have really been enjoying getting to know this LP. I've played it nonstop for the past 2 days and I'm sure I'll really get down on it this weekend. It seems super solid and from what I can tell through my practice amp it sounds wonderful. Can't wait to get my Twin from my buddy's house and run it through that however.
Thanks so much. Glad to be back and hopefully I'll check back in more often than I have over the last several months.
Thank you so much. Appreciate it.
Much obliged. Definitely been enjoying it.
Appreciate that. I believe I may have a "player" in this one. Cheers.
Thank you. Yes sir, this has a '57 classic in the neck and a '57 classic plus in the bridge. So far however, I've been living on that neck pickup. Love the way it sounds. And yeah, I'm partial to the Honeyburst finishes myself.
Thank you very much. I'm lucky to be able to own it.
It's not the same thing, but I had an Epiphone LP that I bought years ago, and I decided to put 57 Classics in it at the suggestion of the music store tech. In my opinion, that Epi LP absolutely came alive with range and clarity. I have moved away from humbuckers, but if I ever head back, the 57 Classics would have to be part of the plan.
I'd like too,i like that P-90 gold top they're doing now,but my problem is my back isn't the best nowdays,so i don't know, maybe an SG would be better.
Run that through a Twin and see if there is some Mike Bloomfield in it!
I can't say that I have much experience with an Epi Les Paul, but I do love those '57 Classics. So far anyway.
Totally understandable. They are HEAVY!!! I looked at some SG's as well. Great, great guitars.
