I bought a Warmoth Starcaster body at a good price from the clearance section. I sent it earlier this summer to David/Englishman at Eman Guitars to build a neck and put it all altogether. Got it today. Top notch job as always from David.

    Starcaster style headstock.
Flame maple neck with ebony fretboard
80s Vivian Campbell Kramer Nightswan pattern inlays
Fat vintage Corvette style neck profile
DiMarzio Eric Johnson Signature humbucker pickups
    Transparent blue finish
    Gold hardware including V-stop tailpiece.
The odd knob/switch configuration was necessitated by the Warmoth design, which didn't allow enough room for the switch at the upper bout. The controls are just master volume and tone. The rest of the knobs are dummies. (Original Starcaster had Gibson style controls with 2 volume, 2 tone and a pickup switch.)

    Excellent fit & finish.
Beautiful flame on the neck and great paint job.
    Perfect neck profile for me.
    EJ pickups are very bright.
    Lightweight body, well-balanced.

This is the 4th guitar David has made for me. Every one a gem. Great price. Excellent communication. Highly recommended.

Awesome. "Words are wind." The fact that this is your 4th Eman guitar is the real review.

What do you think of the EJ pickups? Been thinking of putting them in my Epi LP.

Is the star caster body fully hollow?

Congratulations to both of you drmilktruck and Englishman.

The blue pups are really catchy. Was it their initial color or some paint work?

They were blue from the factory. You can special order them in a variety of colors.

In the short time I’ve played it, my initial impression is that they are bright and clear. Adding dirt works very well - they don’t get muddy at all.

The body is semi-hollow, but still very light. The shape is very ergonomic. It can be played classical style very easily.

Outstanding. Headstock alone is too cool. Congratulations Doc! The Englishman’s beginning a light weight Tele build for me and my red Jupiter Thunderbird Billy Bo he built is ornery as ever.

I'm detecting a pattern here. People who own one Eman guitar want another. Speaks well for the builder.
