I like the DeArmond 2000 pickups so much on my G3150, that I couldn't resist this DeArmond (by Guild) 12-string with the same pickups. Made in Korea in 2001, it seems very sturdy, with a neck that's wide enough for my left hand to hit the right strings most of the time. It's my first 12-string electric, and I'm getting my jangle on, but my family is probably getting tired of Mr. Tambourine Man.

Very nice, never seen one like this before. I like the SG body shape and the wide fretboard. How wide is that fretboard at the nut?

The nut is 1-7/8" or 48mm wide. From top string to bottom is 1-9/16" or 40mm.

Neato! The staggered SG horns instantly reminded me of an Astro Jet too.

This does look like a cross between an SG and an Astrojet. However, I don't really like the looks of those guitars but this one looks great. Congrats.

I'll bet that sounds huge! To break up the Byrds "monotony" (?!), maybe a little Tom Petty?

Yes, definitely Tom Petty, and also The Beatles. I happened to be learning "A Hard Day's Night" when I bought the S73-12, but I hadn't paid attention to the 12-string part on the recording. Now that I'm boning up on 12-string lore, I've read that both Roger McGuinn and Tom Petty first saw an electric 12-string in the film A Hard Day's Night, and they both went out and bought Rickenbackers like George's. The Byrds also bought a Gretsch after seeing the film. :)

Hoping to end up with a 12 string Rickenbacker before the end of the year. Good to know on the Byrds and Tom Petty influence, not surprising.

I was bit by the 12 string bug some 40 years ago . I just love them . I only have 2 now ( my Martin D12-28 and my Gretsch G5422-12G-FSR ) I love yours , got that SG groove goin' on . Jangle on my friend and get yourself a Jangle-Box Pedal , then her inner beauty will really shine . Congrats and enjoy
