Ok Gretsch fans... this won't be for everybody. This is a Teye Jazz Cat model, which they just started producing a year or two back. This is the 15th one made, was displayed at NAMM last month, and they allowed me to dictate the color. Those that know me won't be surprised that it's blue! Probably over-the-top aesthetically for some, but I love it. If you keep an open mind, you can see that this guitar employs TV Jones Filtertrons (Powertrons), and B5 style vibrato (Duesenberg made), and even an over-sized F-hole. That's about where the comparisons to Gretsch stop. Sonically, this semi-solid sports a "Mojo" coil-splitting circuit that can be rolled on and off, as opposed to the more common push-pull control. That, in conjunction with the 5-way pickup selector makes for a huge variety of tone. The neck is wider than most... 1-7/8" at the nut. I find that I can adjust to that in a just a few minutes after playing any of my other guitars. Anyway... I'm loving it, and since most guys have never even seen one, I thought I would share!
