Double congrats man!
Sweet man! I want a Billy Bo too!
Double thanks, Sid!
Thank ya Henry, and tracking update, they both arrive Friday via FedEx!
Congrats, Dave. Great catches.
And I love it; thanks again Audept!
And congrats dafreeze, you'll love yours too!
No regrets on the bridge, it's a perfect match! One thing I must mention: my Billy-Bo had a pinned bridge, and the intonation was slightly out for the Compton. I loosened the strings, pulled the bridge base off (it's a press-fit onto 2 Allen-key grubscrews), unscrewed the grubscrews out of the body, and then the bridge base was floating so I could make a tiny but crucial adjustment for intonation. This procedure only took a few minutes and is totally reversible.
Super sweet... Congrats!
Hey @dafreeze , so glad it all came together for you . Enjoy the guitars
Nice and Nice
Wow, when it rains it pours. Can't have to many Billy Bo's
I may not have been clear. Trying to share all this the last couple days from work while very busy with crap phone signal.This is what really impresses me;
Thanks Mark, I agree.
Thanks Penguin, I'm sure I will
Excellent, thanks Audept, mostly what I wanted to hear!...viola rosin
I agree, thanks Merc
As am I Rich, and I most certainly will, thank you!
Thanks and thanks, Robbie
I'm thinking two will do
I've missed 2 Bo's over the years,a red one locally ,it was gone by the time i got there!
And a lovely ,but well gigged, black with silver sparkle binding, both under 2K.
Procrastination is a terrible thing ya know...
Congretschulations! I love the Billy Bo White Penguin. I've seen one for sale only once, but found it too expensive.
Thank you Woz! I hear you but scored her for only $200 more than the street price for a standard red model, which pushed me off the top of that fence.
Thank you Sir! And I’m real fond of black and silver too.
And I hear you regarding procrastination.
Last month when TSims told us of that crazy crazy sale on that site that starts with an ‘A’ that sells cameras and stuff I waffled like a sissy not knowing if I could trust it.
Had a -59LTV and Caddy Green Duo in my basket early that morning from here at work and was also thinking about a ‘59 Country Gent. Couldn’t decide which 2 of the 3 or whether I should just say blank it and get all three when all the prices started practically doubling and I blew it.
I found that cello rosin works best.
Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass...I’ve read most think the Cello rosin works best for us but got the middle two mixed up in my head...some aspects about aging are a bit irritating but one of the many plusses are I can buy more and better toys
