Mrs. Ramjac has decided to learn to play the tenor ukulele. Opportunities like this do not come along every day. I moved quickly.

Does a tenor ukelele have a pickup? Filtertron or Hilotron?

I spent a fair amount of time trying to decide between a Fishman Loudbox and a Fender Acoustasonic a short while back. The Fishman had the better fidelity, but the Fender had its own "fender thing" going on that I really dug. I was never able to decide which one I liked better - still haven't pulled the trigger on either! LoL!

Maybe if I get the wife a uke ...

I have a Loudbox Mini and it is amazing. I use it to perform in small venues. I just plug my mic into the XLR jack and give it a little reverb. I've never heard so much sound come out of that small of a package. I can't imagine how good the bigger models must sound.

I like the look and I’m sure it sounds great but with so many things to turn and play with. I would get lost.

    Well played indeed.

I am currently learning the 5 string banjo. The only amp my wife will permit me to purchase is one which makes my banjo quieter.

You so remind me of those husbands who’s wives were in my motorcycle class and hubby was of course motorcycle shopping for the wife. Funny how the motorcycle they selected for the new rider wife was a motorcycle they actually wanted:D

    Wish it had a SuperTron.

Was on mine, too, and similarly, it was behind another item on the list. But I read the defense, saw an opportunity, and checked out of the play I’d called in the huddle.

Performer has the three speakers w/passive tweeter crossover, and a little extra push. Also, Mrs. Ramjac thought the Fender looked funny.

That’s the one thing she didn’t like - all the controls. I set the EQ flat and showed her how to adjust the volume and anti-feedback controls. That’s enough for now.

Well, I’m getting a bit more understanding today than I’ve had in the past.

Funny how that works. Years ago I received a Le Creuset tea kettle for Christmas that I’ve never used. Our house is full of the stuff now. Wondering how many Ukes will be in our house this time next year.

It’s loud. Should try it with a Rat. And speaking of Le Creuset, your blue braiser inspired us to pick up an orange one.
