Oh, and both the green and blue look great!
So good luck with completing this thinline.
Ah, Phillipe! I remember him from my time in Denmark st. Shame they succeeded finally in busting it all up. Maybe we crossed paths in the 12 Bar. Great to see that Tele, big lipstick pup fan here. Which make is it? Just bought a GFS model, cos I'm mean!
I have played the 12 bar a few times, great place! we probably have crossed paths because i have worked in a couple of shops down there, was at wunjos for a year, was with phillipe on and off for years! small world on the web haha. the lipstick i used was just a random one (artec) it is full sized unlike the GFS one which is too small for the pickup rout in the bridge plate, looked really weird. i used the base plate from the GFS to mount the new tube though, had to drill two new holes but that was easy. yes massive shame what denmark street has become, phillipe moved to camden town and has a garage in woodgreen where i was with him the last time i saw him. he calls me to do work for him whenever i am in london though which is really cool. take care mate!
now i am jinxed so ill leave it for a while, thanks!
I'm liking that pic guard as well.
Well done, sir.
Plug her in!
Very green in those pics is it more blue on person?
Nice going there, it's looking great at the mo. It would be nice to see the actual colour, because in the pics all I can see is a cross between Fender's Sea Foam Green and Gretsch's Broadway Jade. The pickguard look killer and I can't wait for the vid/soundcloud to hear it in action.
yeah definitely blue, but under artificial light very surf green? cool though i like it.
thanks buddy! ill take more pics when i am done, but i am gonna wait as i feel a jinx is upon me! people have said never to show a guitar until it's done and last night i snapped a screw off in the bridge, so fate is telling me to leave it alone, haha
You can't argue with the gods of fate and hubris!
Hmmm, I have never heard people say that. We posted up pics in progress all the time on the mandolin cafe.
