It is a Gretsch playboy made by Victoria amps. I think they only made them from 2005 to 2009. I Bought one at the local music go round it was pretty beat up but it was only $900 and it has become my favorite amp. It only weighs 35 pounds so it’s easy to gig with especially as you get older. It’s 15 W but it’s an extremely loud 15 Watts. I’ve gigged with it once and it held up at moderate volume. I plan in a surf band so we always play everything clean although there are times where we will play some Link Wray. It breaks up but not until six or eight but I haven’t tried to play it at a really loud gig yet.

I saw the one that I got today on Reverb and I know that they rarely come up and the guy was asking a fair price at 1300 and I couldn’t resist because it was in mint condition. So yes now I have two. It took a long time to justify it to myself but I figure they are hand wired pine cabinet and just perfect amps for what I use them for that I couldn’t resist another

Congrats on finding that amp, they sure don't come up very often. I lucked out a few years ago and snagged one pretty much like new. Wonderful sound, and just looks "right". Imo of course.
    Enjoy them in stereo :D

I am still lusting over these amps.
Had the chance to buy one a few years ago during a blow-out -sale for just USD 800 brand spanking new and did not pull the trigger. I could kick my ass .....Conrats on that super fine amp, pal.

Same here mate... there's a bloke who's selling an Executive 25w at 1300 euros (but I feel I could drop the price down of a hundred with cash in hands) over here that is really tempting me... I'm trying to sell some boutique italian, then I could pull the trigger myself.

That's a great amp for sure. 15w would be even better for me as well, but there isn't many of them on the italian aftermarket. And shipping it's too risky.
