So you could see them better you know???
Just re-read your original post
Haha, yeah, i used some sharpie and made lil’ marks.
Great amps, I have three Supros and love them in spite of their eccentricities. Speakers need some breaking in, I think that puts some folks off when they first hear them until they've been pushed for a while.
I follow the '6 o'clock' rule, everything half way then tweak a little
Yes! I adjust all pedals and amps that way when I first plug in.
This amp was used by another local musician, so the speaker has been broken in to a degree.
As soon as I plugged in my 5129 and strummed a Dm I knew this baby was gonna be good.
Right on man, I'm lovin my new amp too.... Happy new amp year! Cant wait till i can turn it up past 2.
Looks Like the perfect size. Congrats!
Yeah, she’s very portable, and sure has a lot to say for only a 10” speaker.
Do you still have the Shure column speakers with that?
You bet! The head HATES all other speakers, and it needs to have them plugged in when it’s switched on or else it’ll melt.
We use it for my vocals at practice, but it’s not loud enough to gig with on it’s own. It has an output jack marked “to tape recorder” and we use that when we record. Here’s some pics...
Looks boss in the dark.
That's a survivor!
Found it for sale locally on craigslist for under $200. The 6th input channel is broken, but if anyone wants to plug more than two things in at once, they’re crazy.
Saw a Kustom tube PA head a couple of years ago. 4 channels, 200 watts. Last thing I needed.....
I’d love an old tube PA with real wattage. This is a solid state, and i think it’s probably about 20 watts. It has a housed light bulb inside that LOOKS like a tube, but it’s just a trick.
Probably more like 50 watts if memory serves. Still, tubes would be preferable. You might have an input impedance mismatch that's causing low output. Guitars are in the 10K Ohm range, and mikes at that time were about 600 Ohm.
Do I spy an autographed pic of Rock and Roll High School near the Shure column? Your practice space looks entertaining!
Very cool amp, too. Non-master amps=good!
I’ve run my guitar thru it only once just messing around. Sounded pretty good
Yes it is! PJ Soles signed it for me. I don’t have the Ramones autographs unfortunately.
I have Clint Howard's!
Nice! What he sign for you?
I’d live to get Clint’s signature in a pic from The Corbomite Maneuver.
